John Athayde traveled to Los Angeles for the My VH1 Music awards in which nancies.org—a website Meticulous has been involved with since it's inception almost 4 years ago—was nominated and won the "Coolest Fan Website" category for the second year running.
John Athayde and Waldo Jaquith of Munk and Phyber (Charlottesville, VA), and nancies.org writers and administrators Ryan Shepard and Brian Pace made the journey to Los Angeles to appear on the show and accept the award. Due to the time constraints the award was not given out in the broadcast like it was last year. The members of the contingent did have a very nice time and great seats right near Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews, and even Alicia Silverstone.

And if you didn't notice, we now have a new version of the Meticulous site (version 5.0). We liked the old one too and it was more accessible, but after 3 years, it was starting to show wear around the edges. We are currently working up a flash version of this site so stay tuned for more cool stuff. The client extranet section is still in beta and will be coming after the Christmas season.

There comes a time in every server's life when it needs a massive update. And Castro needed it bad. We have upgraded our main production server (which this and other client sites run on) to a brand new machine running dual processors, high speed SCSI drives, and a large chunk of memory.
